Heritage villages are one of the main resources for cultural tourism, an important economic resource on which the local community depends, as well as the development of awareness and social solidarity, which has an impact on visitors, tourists, and the maintenance of the continuity of the architectural heritage identity. It also benefits from tourism promotion, an important means of activating economic and commercial activity, as well as investing in sustainable projects that benefit the local community and families in need.

​One of the most important projects launched in 2015 is the newly constructed Heritage Village project opposite the Al-Aqah Tourist Hotel, funded personally by a citizen. The village is a new concept in the revival of heritage as it preserves the old folk character, although it is more systematic and modern than the old villages, through its design.​
